About Us

Sustainable Environmental Solutions (Pvt.) Ltd. (SES) a NUST Spinoff Company, is an engineering consultancy firm located at National Science and Technology Park (NSTP) in National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), main campus, H-12, Islamabad. The SES was founded in 2017 by the Prof. Dr. Sher Jamal Khan, a tenured professor and former head of the department at the NUST Institute of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (IESE). It later became partner with Zeeruk International (Pvt.) Ltd. and National University of Sciences and Technology in 2019. It outgrew the Zeeruk International’s umbrella and became an independent engineering and consultancy firm in 2024.
The SES is an engineering consultancy firm with an unrivalled reputation for providing high quality tailored services. Providing latest, responsive, innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions to the vast and prestigious clientele within a short span of time since its inception is the distinctive feature which make the SES stand out among its peers. Managment And Ownership

Prof. Dr. Sher Jamal Khan

Chief Executive Officer

Prof. Dr. Sher Jamal Khan holds highest academic degree in PhD Environmental Engineering and Management from Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand. He is currently working as a Professor in the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. He has research and academic experience of more than 20 years.
He has also been working as an engineering consultant for over 10 years with professional experience in environmental engineering and management, supervised research and consulting projects covering physico-chemical water treatment processes, biological wastewater treatment processes, water quality monitoring and assessments, and membrane based water and wastewater treatment technologies, WASH technologies and integrated solid waste management. He prioritizes to work alongside clients in order to achieve the desired results in a quick and efficient manner.

National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST)

Partner Institution

The National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) is a public university with main campus in Islamabad, Pakistan. Established in March 1991 primarily for the promotion of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) subjects, it has since then expanded through establishing a more comprehensive curriculum consisting of economics, finance, management and social sciences degrees. The university is also home to an under-construction International Association of Science Parks (IASP) certified National Science and Technology Park.
